Fashion, styling and photography is combining three of my passions. I have studied and analyzed the pictures of my favorite photographers and I have created my own guidelines. Of course I'm not going to say exactly what they are but, the following things should be recognizable in my work.
Contrast (in black and white, in theme, in subject vs location or in feeling - tuff versus sweet for example-) is very important to me.
Equally important for me is that there is some mystery left in the picture for the viewer to be able to fill in the blanks. I describe my pictures as:" geënsceneerde momentopnamen" roughly translated as "staged snapshots" or "directed coincidences". www.ninarietveld.nl
Feel Good Fotografie
This is one of my company's. The main goal of Feel Good Fotografie is to make people feel good about themselves. Some people have never had a good picture of themselves or they compare themselves with models in magazines or they are just shy in front of a camera, and I try to make them feel good about themselves during the photo-shoot and of course by giving them the end-result they were hoping for. Every client has an opportunity to give their own input in what they would like in the photo, the make-up or the concept. Together we make a plan and I will coach them during the photo-shoot.

ReACTions
This is where I can combine acting, directing, styling and photography. It is a way of working that makes the pictures feel more real. Sometimes I write and direct a scene. Other times I improvise a dialog from behind the camera and interact with the model while making the pictures. A lot of it is improvised and for me this is the most enjoyable way of working on a story. I don't know of any other photographers who work in this way so I might have to protect this idea by calling it "ReACTions ©" ;).I hope to combine this working method with fashion photography someday.
Dreams in photography
I would love to be shooting my own concepts. I would like to find a perfect combination of my "ReACTions ©" method and fashion photography. I would also love to make, expose and sell my own work. It would be great to see one of my pictures on a big billboard one day or publish a story book out of photographs. But mainly I hope to Inspire and keep being inspired.

I am mostly inspired by Ellen von Unwerth, Tim Walker, Richard Avedon, William Klein, Jean Claude Gautrand, Hussein Chalayan, Dolce Gabbana, Fashion in general, Film noir and old Hollywood- and silent-movies.
