Acting

The beginning
I have been performing ever since I was a little girl. Whether it was rolling over, dancing, making music, putting on a sketch or even inviting people to see a playback-show it has always been something I loved. When my father signed me up for serious acting classes, and I got accepted, it didn't take long before I knew I had found my calling.

Theatre
Although I have learned a lot and had some really good times performing in theaters as well, I knew it wasn't something I wanted to do every day for the rest of my life. First of all because the uncertainty of a life as an actor scared me. Secondly because there was so much else I wanted to try before making my career decision. I do however miss it sometimes and I have a lot of respect for those who have chosen to make a living out of it.

 Camera acting
I discovered soon that I love camera acting! There is a solid concept, a jam-packet schedule, a script, everybody has their own specialty and job to do and still you're all working together. I like the fact that the acting here is more 'on' and 'off' and that you can even talk about something else after hours. I also love that the work will not vanish. The only thing i have trouble with is watching myself on the screen and knowing that friends will as well.

 Horrible lair
People seem to think that actors are always good lairs and are not always to be trusted. I can assure you that i am the worst lair ever! When i am just me i can't even fool someone as part of a joke. I can only tell something believable that isn't real when i am playing a part, being another character and definitely not myself. So don't believe everything you hear unless it's in a movie;)

Dreams in acting
My dream is (do not laugh please) to be a great European movie actress. I would love do more camera acting in the Netherlands and then also work on English and Italian movies. I would love to be in a silent movie some day. I would love to be in a 'jiskefet' series someday. I would love to play as many different roles as possible. I would like to still be working in movies when i am old (presuming I'm still fit and passionate). I would love to be in a black and white movie.

2000-2003 Multiple theatre shows and travelling shows throughout Holland and some in Germany.
