Corporate Design
A logo and the branding are what make your company unique. A good logo can be personal,be funny, say something about the company, stand out in a crowd and much more. But most importantly: It should be recognizable as being YOUR logo.
When you own a business, it is important to think, not only about what you would like, but also about what your clients might like and about what your competition already has to offer. When we schedule a first meeting i mostly find out about your competition beforehand so you can just focus on what your idea's are. Then we can talk about the target group and form a concept. Then i start by making a sketch logo and or card so you see what everything would be based on and you have an opportunity to change the basic concept if you're not yet satisfied.
I love good/solid concepts. When a concept works, everything will come together perfectly. I wouldn't go as far as saying that every dot most have is reason to be there because sometimes it's okay for something to just be decorative. I do however believe that anything will turn out better once it it based a good concept.
Starterslogo
A good start for a good price. Starterslogo is where i do my more commercial work. Make the client happy with a logo that suits their wishes. Quick and simple for a very gentle and preset price. To start a business is already expensive and uncertain enough. (www.starterslogo.blogspot.com)
One of my latest enterprises is the idea machine.
I it a website where I sell my services in Graphic Design, Patterns, Identity packages and....ideas!
I've had a lot of ideas in my life, and a lot of times I've tried to find people within my network to execute the plans. But my network is not big enough and the expertise's needed for the execution of my ideas are very versatile. That is why i thought: why not change things around...let the people that have the facilities, budget and or skills come to me for a new idea! And because an idea has to prove itself over time, the client only pays when the idea works:)
But ssssstttt ...keep this a secret, because people don't contact me personally. They contact 'the idea machine'! ;)
Illustrations
I would love to make fashion related illustrations. Weather it be illustrations and pattern to put on clothes or lookbook illustrations. I've always had a passion for fashion and in my free time sometimes create some patterns or illustrations.
In the mix
I like to play with contrast in everything. Weather it is combining retro with modern or photo's with illustrations, as long as there is something contrasting i am personally more likely to love it.
Dreams in GraphicDesign
I would like to be asked for extremely different things someday. For example; i would be working on a pattern design for a dress one day and on a fountain design the next day and creating a viral concept the day after that:). I would love it if people from all different projects in all different countries would think to call me for a design or concept.
